Weekly Photo Challenge: Refreshing

The weekly photo challenge for this week is “refreshing.”  There’s nothing quite as refreshing as a thunderstorm to cool down a summer evening, but I’m getting a bit tired of them. The one last night did some damage, with downed trees and power lines. It was really windy.  This was a shot of it earlier in the evening before it started raining got too bad out.  A little homemade lemon ice cream and a cold drink are also great refreshers.

  1. Awesome clouds! I too am getting tired of this summer weather. Every afternoon it’s been straight line winds and crazy clouds!

  2. Great shots!! Love the clouds 🙂

  3. We have been stormy too! The winds came up again Sunday night early Monday morning and the sky was all rumbly. We needed the rain but all the noisy rumbly thunder is getting old. Your b&w of your rumbly looking sky is very nice. The homemade lemon ice cream defines refreshing. Lemons no matter how they are used are refreshing I think! A refreshing post.

    • We did not need the rain, we’ve had 5 inches in the past 2 days. Craziness, but I still love thunderstorms. Thanks for visiting!

  4. Great shots. Love the second photo (clouds, too, but the icecream . . . or sorbet or whatever, looks more refreshing!)

  5. I want the ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jajajjaja…
