Weekly Photo Challenge: Endurance

This week’s photo challenge is “endurance.” Endurance makes me think of things that last, things that hang in there when other things don’t. Here are my images.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Golden Hour

Summer school. Crazy curriculum rewriting. Living in town. All are terrible excuses for my lack of posting, but here are a few photos!

Almost dark!

Afternoon Snow Walk

Well, after a bit of a wait the plow finally got unstuck and made it down to our house last night. Thanks to good neighbors, we can also can now escape our driveway.  There wasn’t much else to do yesterday afternoon besides take more pictures (and bake tasty bread!), so here are a few more snow shots. Yesterday was all about black and white, so let’s mix it up with some color.  White balance is always a little tricky with snow, but sometimes it just isn’t white.  With the late afternoon sun shining on it can look golden and in the deep afternoon shadows looks blue.
