Weekly Photo Challenge: Wildlife

The theme for the WordPress photo challenge this week is “wildlife.” This was a bit of a tough one for me. We have lots of domestic animals around (sheep, cows, cats, etc.) but getting a good wildlife photo can be tough. Our wildlife tends to be fast and good at hiding. I got lucky and caught  a snake (ok, someone else technically caught it for me) and also took some bird photos. Bird photos always make me wish for a longer lens, but I’m just not willing to pay for something longer than my current 200mm. I was proud of getting that close to the hummingbird while she was perched in the tree.

  1. The b&w of the snake is gorgeous! You did a nice job with the birds, too, but the b&w added an elegant element, not to mention the curvature of the snake. Nice post.
