Rainy Days and Baking

It was a wet and cold weekend, but that meant it was a good time for baking.  I always find cooking to be a good thing to do when it is nasty outside.  This weekend we had some lovely challah bread (recipe can be found in “The Bread Baker’s Apprentice”, Peter Reinhart). I also  made some ginger almond cookies which were very tasty, but not nearly as pretty as the bread.
