Snowed In

Well, we survived the blizzard, but we sure won’t be going anywhere today. Even if we could get the car out, the road hasn’t been touched by a plow and it’s covered with about a foot of snow (and that’s where it hasn’t drifted).  The trusty tractor is even stuck.  There are definitely drifts of 4 – 5 feet deep.  I had to walk really carefully to take these photos; the snow kept trying to go over my boots.

The buried car.

This is the road. You can see it going off in the distance and I was standing in it when I took this.

The high winds sculpted some pretty patterns in the snow.

This was one of the smaller drifts, maybe 3 feet deep.
