January 3rd – Chicken and Feather

I really like macro photography, especially in winter when I’m not feeling particularly inspired. I just have a cheap macro lens that screws on top of my Nikon 50mm f/1.8, but it’s a lot of fun. I’ve considered getting a real macro lens, but they’re so expensive that I think mine is doing the job well enough for now. I really like the colors in the chicken, although perhaps I should have knocked the dust off first. The feather happened to be nearby and fit nicely with the chicken.
