Weekly Photo Challenge: Colorful

Here’s one of my catch-up challenges from the past few weeks: colorful. I’d forgotten how painful it is to edit photos on my 3 year old laptop with Picasa is versus my iMac with Lightroom.  Ugghhh… I can’t tell if my brightness and colors are quite right on these. I should have everything moved and set back up in about a week or so. On the plus side, the garden has been producing some beautiful and colorful vegetables and flowers.  My sister actually took the last photo, but I thought it fit perfectly, so I’m posting it with credit to her.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Refreshing

The weekly photo challenge for this week is “refreshing.”  There’s nothing quite as refreshing as a thunderstorm to cool down a summer evening, but I’m getting a bit tired of them. The one last night did some damage, with downed trees and power lines. It was really windy.  This was a shot of it earlier in the evening before it started raining got too bad out.  A little homemade lemon ice cream and a cold drink are also great refreshers.
